Course Format
Online private lessons that includes 1, 4, 8, or 12 lessons per month. Each lesson is one hour and led by an experienced, Ireland-based instructor, with age-appropriate curriculum. Sessions are held online via Zoom.
Sample Schedule
Here's a sample of what a week in this course could look like. Keep in mind students will progress at varying paces, and this is meant to serve as an outline of key materials and the overall experience.
Week 1
You'll begin by covering the basics of sequential programming through various fun games and animations, starting with variables, functions, loops, and arrays. From there, you'll learn the fundamentals of game design by planning out the mechanics, scope, objectives, and rules for your final project.
Week 2
Building on your knowledge from earlier sessions, you'll begin developing a customized Scratch game. Hone your skills to create interactive user functionalities such as player movements, animated obstacles, collisions, and shooting projectiles.
Earn your STEM certificate
At the conclusion of your child's course, they will receive an official STEM Metaverse certificate and course transcript outlining the skills they learned over the duration of the course.
